Bishop Joe L. Bennett

Bishop Bennett began ministry at Mt. Zion A.O.H Church of God in Dayton, Ohio by serving as a Deacon, choir member, and Sunday School Superintendent before accepting his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortly after accepting the call he was sent to plant a church in Indianapolis, Indiana that would be named Shiloh A.O.H Church. During his tenure ther, he led the church to pay off the mortgage and completely renovate the sanctuary, doing most of the work with is own hands. He also began to be elevated in the Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God by first becoming an Elder after which he was appointed Overseer for the state of Indiana.

After serving Shiloh for nearly 17 years, God saw fit to move and elevate Bishop once again. After the passing of Bishop Cicero Harris, Bishop Bennett was sent to Chicago, Illinois to pastor at Harris Temple A.O.H Church. Along with this move came his elevation to the Bishopric and the responsibility of presiding over the state of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. He was consecrated to the Office of the Bishop in June of 1988 with his wife and daughter by his side. As a builder, Bishop desired to see the people of God to have an edifice and after many years of labor, a beautiful new church was constructed in Chicago and still stands today as a testament of God's hand on his life.

Being ever attentive to the voice of the Lord, Bishop Bennett planted New Nation Apostolic Ministries in Chicago, Illinois and Christ Temple Apostolic Ministries in Michigan City, Indiana after his departure from the A.O.H Church. Out of these churches thriving ministries have been birth and launched.

Bishop Bennett, who still pastors both churches is also the Presiding Prelate of God's Grace Apostolic Fellowship, an organization birthed to bring unity within the Body of Christ and provide a safe forum for churches to learn, grow and walk in their purpose.
